Gentle Giant

Rowan's daycare sends him home with a "daily report card" that tells us how his day was, what activities he did, when he napped, what he ate, etc. And today's report was especially cute, we just had to share...

"Rowan had his usual great day. His sunny personality is infectious and all of his friends respond to positively to him. He is truly the gentle giant. He also loves playing in the kitchen and opens the cabinet doors and puts things inside over and over and over again."

...we of course loved hearing that he is gentle with the other kids, and the "giant" description is so funny...he is by far the tallest kid there - even taller than the oldest kids who are 2 1/2 - 3 years. Anyway, he really does love his "school" as we like to call it when we talk to him...and this has been all the more evident this week as he has started to say "bye bye mommy!" as soon as we get there in the mornings. But I'll take this any day over tears of sadness!
